The 2019 Oregon Writers Colony writing contest is open to OWC members and nonmembers. 

Entries that meet the guidelines below will be accepted beginning May 17. 

Last date for electronic submissions is August 15, 2019.

GUIDELINES:

We will be accepting short stories and first chapters of fiction and first chapters of narrative nonfiction with a maximum word count of 2500 in all categories.

The categories accepted this year are: 

1) Fiction, Short Story 

2) Fiction, First Chapter

3) Narrative Nonfiction, Short Story 

4) Narrative Nonfiction Story, First Chapter  

5) Fifty Word Short Story
